IMPACT sold more and said that in may the real estate market show a sign of a slight recovery

The real-estate company, Impact Developer & Contractor (IMP) registered in May 2009, 18 transactions with a total value of 8.6 million lei (VAT included), thus exceeding, for the first time this year, the results related to the same period of 2008, (May 2008), when transactions in amount of 1 million lei (VAT included) had been concluded.

"It is a sign of a slight recovery. The first sign has been at the end of March, when the results on the first quarter have exceeded the initial estimates. This second sign shows us that we have somehow overcame the most difficult period so that the forecast for the next period remain optimistic. During this period, the pressure as exercised by the need for housing has caused an increase in the number of transactions. At the same time, the accessible values of the dwellings, along with the flexibility of the financial solutions were the key factors in customers interest increase", said Carmen Sandulescu, CFO of IMPACT Developer & Contractor.

In the first quarter of the year, IMPACT registered a turnover of 16,35mil. lei, decreasing with 8% compared with the same period of the last year and a net profit of 1,29 mil. lei. Impact's representatives said that in the last month showed that the access to bank financing gets back on track. "10 of the houses have been contracted with full payment, which is a sign relating to the fact that the access to bank financing gets back on track", concluded Carmen Sandulescu.
