IMPACT SA sends aid to flood victims in Suceava county

Today, the 11th of August 2008, a humanitarian convoy will leave the Bucharest headquarters of IMPACT SA, going to Rădăuţi.

Two trucks belonging to IMPACT SA, loaded with building materials, furniture and home appliances, start their journey towards one of the counties most severely affected by the floods in July 2008, Suceava county.

They will be followed shortly by 15 more site-organization containers, that will help provide temporary housing solutions for flood victims, and will attempt to help local authorities, that is, Suceava County Council, in solving the current problems. The aid is evaluated at a total of about RON 140,000.

"IMPACT SA wishes to get actively involved in the life of the community where it's activity is based, and understands that the principles of social responsibility are best exemplified when they occur in tough times, when the society needs you". - Dan Ioan Popp, IMPACT SA Chairman, said.

He also added that IMPACT had helped flood victims during the previous years as well. In summer 2005, Impact helped flood victims in Vrancea county with donations of building materials, furniture and home appliances.

The employees in Bucharest, Oradea, Constanţa and Ploieşti were directly involved in distributing the aid and donated money and home appliances. The entire process took about one week."
