Cluj-Napoca
Lomb Hill Project, situated in the Northern part of the city on a total surface of 267 ha is developed in a public-private partnership with the Cluj-Napoca Local Council and represents presently the greatest real estate development in Romania.
By the zonal urban plan, the project envisages the development of an excellence urban pole, that will sum up over 8,000 dwelling units. As a part of the competitivity pole of the Cluj-Napoca Metropolitan Area, the project also proposes the development of non-residential objectives, such as: business center - exhibits - conferences, commercial spaces, spaces intended for public services, university campus, excellence pole – research and innovation center, parks: recreation places and green spaces, by the conclusion of some solid partnerships both with public entities, and with private entities.
- The project has the characteristics of a satellite town of Cluj with a population of 30,000 inhabitants, marking the only possible expansion area of Cluj at this moment
There are all the premises for the creation of a Competitivity Pole in Lomb:
- There have already been submitted all the applications for the construction of two research centers in Lomb, out of which one in the medical field - IMOGEN, the applicant being SCJU-CJ. Also, the future headquarters of ADR Nord-Vest will be located within the Civic and Administrative Park of the Lomb Hill Project in Cluj-Napoca, alongside other public interest objectives;
- A surface of 25 hectares is intended for the University Campus of Lomb. In April 2008 there was concluded a protocol with the universities of Cluj regarding the accomplishment of this campus.
